1. Oil. Look for oil on the ground under the car and around the sump and the gearbox joint. Check the level between services. Bad result: oil on the ground, or a level that drops between services.
2. Particulate filter (diesels). Ask how the car was driven. Bad result: a filter warning light, lost power, or a filter that needs forced regeneration. Needs a scanner.
3. Brake discs. Check the discs for wear. Bad result: discs worn before the first inspection.
4. Recalls. Enter the VIN in the Opel recall check and ask a dealer for open campaigns. Bad result: an open campaign from the list below.
5. Infotainment. Test the screen, CarPlay and navigation on a full drive. Bad result: restarts, CarPlay drops or a crash.
6. Interior. Drive over a rough road. Bad result: knocking from the dashboard or the doors.
