1. On a diesel with a manual gearbox, listen for noise at low revs. Check the clutch engagement point and pedal play. A bad result is loud noise or a late, slipping clutch.
2. Test every window, including any auto up and down function. A bad result is a window that stops, drops or opens by itself.
