- Years: 2018 to 2025. Sportback from 2019 to 2025, RS Q3 from 2019 to 2023. Engines from 150 PS to 400 PS (RS Q3).
- Reliability: 3/5. Few confirmed faults in the sources; the known ones are roof leaks and front-end noise, and both can be fixed.
- DIY: 2/5. Sunroof seal work and its adaptation need a workshop; the front brakes are a normal service job.
- Biggest risk: water leaks from the panoramic roof. Wet footwells can mean a new roof panel.
- Prefer: a car with a dry footwell, a service record and the 2022 rear window checked. Avoid: a panoramic roof with damp carpets or a loose seal.

Before you buy
- Press the carpets and footwells on both sides, and look at the roof lining near the mirrors. Bad result: any damp carpet, water stain or musty smell.
- Open the panoramic roof and press the seal edge at the front and rear. Bad result: a gap in the foam tape or a seal that is not flush. A seal fix needs a workshop.
- Drive over a rough road with the windows shut and listen to the front end. Bad result: knocks over bumps or squeaks from the front. No scanner needed.
- Ask for the front brake history and check the discs and pads. Bad result: discs or pads due soon, or a wear warning on the dashboard. No scanner needed.
- Ask a dealer to check the 2022 rear window campaign by VIN. Bad result: an open campaign. The repair is free.
- Ask a dealer for all open recall campaigns by VIN. Bad result: any open campaign. No scanner needed.

In detail
Panoramic roof leaks
Symptoms: water drips from the roof lining, runs into the footwell on both sides, and the cabin is noisy in wind with the roof closed. The seal can look flush but lose its grip, and the foam tape under it can come loose along the opening.
Cause: the seal can lose its adhesion to the roof panel, and then wind and water get into the cabin. Drain hoses can be pinched by the pillar trim. Water can also creep along the wind deflector arms into its stowage area, which has no drain. Audi says this is worse if the roof is opened or vented when the car is wet.
Which cars: panoramic roof models, 2019-2024. Audi's 2020 bulletin covers 2019-2021 cars with any VIN.
Fix: Audi's repair bulletins say to clear or replace pinched drain hoses and valves, replace a detached seal, and adjust the glass. The seal is glued to the roof, so a seal repair is followed by an adaptation of the roof panel and the sunshade end stop. If the frame is damaged, it goes back to Audi for analysis. In some cases only a full roof panel replacement cured the leak. No part number is given in the sources.
Cost: no confirmed price.

Rear window can break
Symptom: the rear window can break.
Cause: a deviation in the glass production gives the pane an uneven stress pattern, so it breaks more easily. The recall covers cars made in 2022 in the affected batch: 1,350 cars worldwide, 632 in Germany.
Fix: Audi checks the production date of the glass. If the batch is affected, an Audi partner replaces the window free of charge. No accidents or injuries are known. The Germany reference is KBA 012167 and Audi's code is 64H4.
Cost: free (recall, Germany, 2022).

Front suspension noise
Symptoms: a loud knock or rumble from the front axle over bumps. In winter, squeaks from the anti-roll bar (the bar that limits body roll) and the control-arm bushes.
Cause: the rubber bushes and suspension mounts wear. The German TÜV inspection often criticises the suspension mounts.
Which cars: not stated by the sources.
Fix: replace the worn bushes or mounts. The sources give no part number and no price.
Cost: no confirmed price.

Front brake discs and pads
Symptoms: the discs are worn at the inspection, and the wear sensor warns that discs and pads are due. The TÜV report often names worn brake discs.
Cause: normal wear. Discs and pads are consumables.
Which cars: all cars.
Fix: replace the front discs and pads. The sources give no part number and no price.
Cost: no confirmed price.

Recalls
| Country | Code | Years | What is done |
|---|---|---|---|

Maintenance
- Sunroof drains: keep the drain hoses and valves clear, as Audi's bulletin asks.
- Sunroof seal: after any seal work, have the roof panel and sunshade adapted.
- Front brakes: discs and pads are wear items. Check them at every service and keep the wear history.
- Recall checks: ask a dealer for open campaigns by VIN before you buy.
