1. Electric power steering: With the engine running, heavy steering or a steering warning light is a bad result. Use a scanner. Diagnosis 120-220 EUR; replacement and coding 480-780 EUR (Germany, year not stated).
2. Ignition coil: Ask whether the ignition module has been replaced; it often fails by 60,000-80,000 km. About 10,000 RUB for a new module (Russia, year not stated).
3. Petrol timing chain: Listen for a rattle and ask for a chain replacement record. Chains last 90,000-120,000 km. Replacement about 10,000 RUB in parts plus labour (Russia, 2020).
